Queen of All Hearts Council 4126 is a local Knights of Columbus council in Center Moriches, New York — serving Long Island's Suffolk County since 1955.
Our council
We are Catholic men bound by charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. From our post office box in Center Moriches to Moriches Community Center and St. John the Evangelist parish, our work is local, personal, and rooted in the Gospel.
Council 4126 was founded in 1955. We are organized as a 501(c)(8) fraternal benefit society. Mail reaches us at P.O. Box 1095, Center Moriches, NY 11934; our council phone is (934) 261-9343.
Our parish home
We are closely affiliated with St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 25 Ocean Avenue, Center Moriches, NY 11934 (parish phone: 631-878-0009). Council meetings are held at Moriches Community Center, 313 Frowein Road, Center Moriches; Friday night bingo and many of our service projects take place on parish grounds or in partnership with parish ministries.
Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney
The Knights of Columbus were founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, a parish priest in New Haven, Connecticut. He gathered Catholic men to protect families facing poverty and prejudice, and to strengthen the faith through mutual aid and friendship. Our council continues that mission in Center Moriches — including participation in a local Father McGivney statue dedication.
The four principles
- Charity — Faith expressed through concrete help for those in need.
- Unity — Standing together as one body of brother knights.
- Fraternity — Friendship, prayer, and shared responsibility for one another's families.
- Patriotism — Love of country joined to faithful citizenship.
